Parents and kids walked from their Lenox Place neighborhood to Westchester School on Monday afternoon, timing the trip to bolster their argument against a redistricting proposal that would move the children from Oakhurst Elementary to Westchester.

Parents said that would increase the distance to school from three-tenths to seven-tenths of a mile to 1.2 – 1.8 miles. The Decatur School Board will discuss the redistricting plan at a 6:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting and Lenox Place parents are expected to show up in force.
