Fresh To Order CEO Pierre Panos said the fine fast food restaurant is indeed opening a location in Decatur, an official confirmation of a story first reported by Tomorrow’s News Today.

But Panos said it won’t be a clone of the other F2O concepts in Atlanta.

“No other Fresh To Order is going to look like the Decatur Fresh To Order,” Panos said. “I’m specifically creating a new look and feel for that concept. I’m calling it F3O because it’s so different to the look and feel of our other stores, because it is special.”

The F2O slogan is, “Fine. Food. Fast.” and it will get here quickly, too. Panos said the restaurant will begin construction within seven days and will open at the corner of Church Street and East Ponce de Leon by the end of July.

The fine-dining, low cost restaurant has about a dozen locations, mostly in the metro area. The Fresh To Order will take over space that was briefly occupied by Hola! Mexican Cantina. Tomorrow’s News Today said the spot as “cursed,” citing the failure of Hola! and the Decatur Diner before that.

Panos said the space is fine and he’ll prove it. He said he actually had his eye on that space for more than two years, but lost it to one of the restaurant’s previous tenants.

“I look at it as good mojo,” he said.  “I don’t look at it as cursed.”

Panos is promising a major investment, one that will take full advantage of the location’s patio space.

“We’re spending a lot of money on the store,” he said. “We don’t just want to slap paint on it.”
