The Atlanta Journal Constitution got other members of Atlanta’s City Council to weigh in on annexing more territory into the city.

It’s well known that residents of the Druid Hills neighborhood, under the banner of Together in Atlanta, want to annex into the city to get away from DeKalb County Schools.

According to the AJC, Atlanta’s also considering annexing Sandtown, which is in South Fulton, to offset the influx of white voters a Druid Hills annexation would bring into the city.

City Councilperson Felicia Moore told the AJC, “Of course, everything is about race in Atlanta.”

City Councilperson Natalyn Archibong, who represents Kirkwood, tells the AJC, “The Devil is in the details.”
