News and notes from some local eateries:

Leon’s Full Service announces Cameron Octigan will be its new Executive Chef.

A press release from the restaurant said the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts trained chef worked in L.A. and New York before coming to Atlanta. “The birth of his son in 2013 brought Octigan home to Atlanta, where he worked at Ford Fry’s St. Cecilia and No. 246 before joining Leon’s Full Service,” the press release said.

There will be some changes to the menu, but Octigan said Leon’s favorites like the warm chickpea cherry salad and the basket of pommes frites will not be going anywhere.

Sous Chef Jeff Sellers, who has been at Leon’s since it opened in 2009, will remain at Leon’s.

Octigan replaces Executive Chef Eric Ottensmeyer, who is taking over Paper Mill Grill in Marietta, Ga.

Decatur’s Three Taverns Craft Brewery is replacing Sweetwater Brewing Company in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Concourse A, according to a report from Atlanta Eater. You can still stop by Sweetwater’s Draft House & Grill in Concourse B.

Twisted Soul Kitchen + Bar is celebrating Chef Deborah VanTrece’s appearance on the NBC show “Food Fighters.”

The restaurant will be showing episodes on Thursdays at 8 p.m. and will have $5 drink specials and complimentary hors d’oeuvres, according to its Facebook page. Twisted Soul says Chef Deborah’s episodes air August 13th and 20th.

Here’s a preview of the show. Twisted Soul said Chef Deborah is told she is competing against a 12 year old in this preview, to which she replies, “impressive.”
