For the fourth straight day there will be water service interruptions as crews work to repair a water main break on Superior Avenue.

According to the county, the break occurred at 7 p.m. on Dec. 28 on North Superior Avenue between North Decatur and Willow Lane. Readers say the break caused water pressure issues all the way to Emory Commons.

The latest update from the county says, “In order to continue with repairs to the water main on Superior Avenue and Willow Lane, DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management’s Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Division will initiate an emergency shutoff to the 14-inch water main. Service interruptions are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 31 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. In most cases, this interruption should last approximately four hours, although durations may change depending on location and field conditions (weather).”
