Furry Tails Pet Shop

In this week’s Biz Bits…

Decatur’s Furry Tails Pet Shop is celebrating its one-year anniversary this weekend. The pet supply shop at 228 E Ponce de Leon Ave. is inviting people and pets to come celebrate on Saturday, Mar. 26 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Facebook event page says there will be free giveaways for dogs and cats and refreshments and snacks. A rescue group will also be at the shop from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Decaturish profiled the store in 2015 a few months after it had opened.

Pace23, a spin and TRX studio in Decatur, is hiring. A Facebook post said, “Join our awesome team as a customer service coordinator!! We’re hiring for early morning, evening and weekend shifts and looking for assertive individuals who are passionate about health & fitness and have an understanding of the elevated customer experience. Give us a shout at [email protected] or 678-885-7223.”

Jamba Juice is now open at 2052 N. Decatur Rd. In February, the shop was not yet listed on Jamba Juice’s main website. However the hours are now on Jamba Juice’s website and signs outside the shop indicate it is open. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported in December that former NFL-star Julian Peterson and his wife Aimee are operating the franchise.

The Kohl’s at Northlake Mall is on a list of under-performing stores set to close. WABE reported, “Kohl’s said employees in the stores that are closing can accept a severance package or choose to relocate to a nearby store.” WABE also reports the company that bought Northlake Mall in February is considering turning the mall into an open air market.

Tomorrow’s News Today reports construction is getting started on the Toco Hills LongHorn Steakhouse that burned down in 2014. The publication said that the rebuilding was beginning this week with a potential mid to late August reopening.

Decatur Metro reports it appears that a Resurgens Bank branch is coming to 315 West Ponce de Leon Ave.
