Atlanta’s bomb squad checked out a suspicious package on Moreland Avenue in Little Five Points, leading to a shutdown of the road and traffic snarls early Monday morning, May 23.

According to WSB Radio, the road has reopened. During the incident traffic was diverted onto DeKalb Avenue causing backups.

The Atlanta Police Department says the incident was triggered by, “a radio along with some papers which caught fire inside of the mailbox.”
