Here’s a quick look at what’s going on in restaurants around the Decatur area.

The Comet Pub & Lanes slated for Suburban Plaza is getting closer to opening. The projected opening date is sometime this month and the company announced on Facebook it is hiring staff to run the new bowling alley, which will be located in the former Suburban Lanes. The Comet Pub will be owned and managed by the owners of Twain’s in Decatur.

Owner Uri Wurtzel previously told Decaturish The Comet Pub & Lanes will have hand-tossed pizza, craft beers, and a full kitchen and bar.

Featuring 32 bowling lanes with the newest scoring system, hand tossed pizza, burgers, 16 draft beers, 60 more craft beers in cans/bottles, hand crafted cocktails, darts, deck shuffleboard, a large bar made from a vintage wooden bowling lane, and extra seating through out.

Just a mile outside of downtown Decatur, and our sister store Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards, The Comet will become a staple in the Decatur scene, for families during the day, league bowlers, and the bar crowd at night!
