Storm damage reported on Sunday evening as county keeps a lookout for tornadoes

There was a tornado watch in effect on Sunday, Jan. 22, until 8 p.m., and readers reported damage related to the rainy weather.

A tree fell down on Ridley Circle behind Westchester Elementary, knocking out power to nearby homes.

Earlier in the day, another reader took this photo flooding at South Fork Peachtree Creek, just below the Emory University President’s House.

Heavy winds and rain are also expected on Monday, Jan. 23, but things should clear up by Tuesday, according to the forecast.
