The city of Decatur’s rescheduled touch a truck event will be held next Saturday, weather permitting.

The city cancelled the March 17 event due to rain. The rescheduled event will be Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held in the north lot of the East Lake MARTA station.

“This fun community event gives children of all ages an opportunity to touch, explore and see their favorite trucks or equipment on wheels,” the announcement from the city says. “The City of Decatur and DeKalb County dump trucks, fire trucks, tractors, police cars and motorcycles and many other types of vehicles will be on display. This year we will even have a solar panel display truck!”

There will also be a bike registration event and food drive. Here’s the full announcement:

Let’s hope for a sunny day!
