Kirkwood Spring Fling & Tour of Homes’ 16th annual event, May 19-20

Come out to the 16th annual Kirkwood Spring Fling & Tour of Homes on Saturday, May 19 at Bessie Branham Park, located at 2051 Delano Drive in Atlanta.

The festival is family-friendly, and according to a recent press release, “offers a fun-filled opportunity to enjoy the warmth of spring with a 5K run, expanded artist market, diverse lineup of live music, creative kids’ activities, Blue Ribbon BBQ Cookoff and Tour of Homes.”

Those who are interested in participating in the 5K or the Tour of Homes must purchase a ticket, but the festival is free-of-charge.

The schedule for the weekend will go as follows:

– 5K Run: Saturday, May 19 at 8:30 a.m.

– Spring Fling Festival: Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

– Live Music 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

– Kids Area closes at 7 p.m.

– BBQ Cookoff: 12:30-2:30 p.m. (or ‘til the BBQ runs out)

– Tour of Homes: Saturday and Sunday, May 19-20, noon — 5 p.m. each day

In addition to the events listed above, there will be a market with artwork from local artists, featuring items such as pottery, photography, paintings, jewelry, and more.
