On Tuesday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., Decaturites are encouraged to come to the Public Input Open House for the city’s first Transportation Improvement Study.
“With the City Schools of Decatur new 3-4-5 Academy on Talley Street and the Avondale Transit Oriented Development on Sams Street, the southeast portion of the city of Decatur is entering a transformative period,” the city announced.
The study is an informal open-house style meeting, a collective effort by City of Decatur and City Schools of Decatur to receive locals’ input about needed improvements to southeast Decatur and plan for developments.
The meeting will be held at the City of Decatur Public Works Building, located at 2635 Talley Street. If you cannot attend the meeting on May 15 but would still like to offer your insight, an online survey will open on May 16.
