As the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off tomorrow, North DeKalb Mall will host a series of soccer-related events throughout the duration of the tournament.

Every day of the World Cup, kids and adults of all ages and all soccer backgrounds can come to the mall to take part in a variety of programs, including viewings of the matches, playing indoor soccer on turf or playing EA Sports’ FIFA ’18 game on some of the mall’s PlayStation consoles.

Additionally, people can come to participate in soccer clinics, movie screenings, a World Cup bracket and much more. Some of the events will have prizes.

The program is being put on by Atlanta ContactPoint in collaboration with Georgia Soccer and other local soccer organizations.

“We are glad people will have an opportunity not only to watch the World Cup, but to participate in soccer and soccer games during the World Cup matches,” Greg Griffith, executive director of Georgia Soccer, said. “This combines the best that soccer has to offer.”

Many events are free, but some, such as open soccer play and clinics, have fees. For details, go here.
