The city of Decatur will be repairing the sidewalks on Adams Street beginning next week and lasting until the end of June, the city announced.

Blount Construction will be repairing sidewalks and installing 15 new ADA curb ramps on Adams Street from College Avenue to West Hill Street. Weather permitting, construction will begin on Monday, June 11 and should be completed by the end of June.

The sidewalks will remain open, except where work is presently taking place. Vehicles parked on-street in the areas being repaired must be moved so that sidewalk access is unimpeded. Vehicles impacting work areas run the risk of potential damage, the city said.

Vehicular traffic in the area will not be affected.
