The Atlanta area has seen an explosion of e-scooters, devices that people can rent and use to get where they’re going. The influx of scooters has taken many city officials by surprise.

The two big players in the e-scooter buisness are Lime and Bird.

The city of Decatur recently attempted to regulate these scooters by adopting a temporary operating agreement. Only Lime agreed to those terms. Now the city is seeking public input on an ordinance to regulate the use of scooters in the city. On Wednesday, March 27, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the city is holding a “drop-in” input and information session at the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore Street to discuss the ordinance.

Today we have invited Nima Daivari, a community affairs manager for Lime, to talk about the new ordinance learn more about the e-scooter business.

The sponsor for this episode is Comet Pub and Lanes and music was provided by the Bantam Breaks.
