Ralph Ellis, professional journalist and Decatur resident.

Many of you know Ralph Ellis from his work at Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch.

Decaturish.com is proud to announce that Ralph is our first official contributor.

This is a big deal for us. Ralph’s name has appeared in bylines in Metro Atlanta for years. Before Patch.com, he worked for the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

He lives in Decatur. He has three grown children and is married to Susan Puckett, a food journalist. They can often be seen walking around downtown Decatur with their greyhound, Laney.

Ralph, like many of you, is a part of this community. Decaturish.com is part of this community. But we have bigger eyes than the boundaries of our wonderful little city. We want to tell stories that matter to you, and we know that doesn’t always mean telling you about what happens within the city limits.

What happens here matters elsewhere, and vice versa.

We also don’t want to run with the media herd. Our goal is to give you an experience you can’t find on any other media website. That means quality over quantity. Ralph is quality. He’s going to help turn this website into something special.
