Decatur’s new spokesperson, Casie Yoder, wanted me to let you know about the Decatur Business Association’s inaugural golf tournament on Sept. 30.

Here are the details, from the DBA:

WHAT: Decatur Business Association’s inaugural charity golf tournament

WHEN: Monday, September 30, 2013

10 a.m. registration, 11 a.m. shotgun start

WHERE: Smoke Rise Golf Club, 4900 Chedworth Dr, Stone Mountain, GA

COST: $125 registration fee includes range balls, cart, greens fees, and lunch

The tournament is limited to 120 players and player substitutions can be made at any time. No-shows and cancellations after Sept. 20 are non-refundable.

According to the announcement, “Proceeds will go to help fund future events held by the association, such as the Concerts on the Square and Decatur Beach Party.”   There will be an after-party at the Solarium in Oakhurst, too. Visit the DBA website for more info.
