Traffic moved slowly on E Ponce De Leon Ave Monday afternoon. Flaggers let Eastbound traffic through for a few minutes, waving cars through alongside construction vehicles before reversing their signs and letting the Westbound traffic through.

Street milling and repair work is underway. Some of the machines kicked up some dust clouds in the hot sun, but otherwise work appeared to be going smoothly. The City of Decatur will be performing  work on E. Ponce, Parkside Circle, Chevelle Lane, and Drexel Ave, and weather permitting, the work should be wrapped up by October 8th.
