Decatur City Commission to consider spending $336,100 more on city projects
There will be two contract increases on the Decatur City Commission’s agenda when it meets tonight.
According to documents for the Oct. 7 meeting, City Commissioners will be asked to consider approving a $83,100 contract increase for improvements to the city’s Public Works building and a $253,000 contract increase for the Beacon Municipal Complex.
Even with the increases, the contracts would be under budget.

After price increase: $6,760,115
Project budget: $8,400,000
Beacon Municipal
After price increase: $30,628,000
Project budget: $38,300,000
