O’Neil’s Pick Six – 10-18-2013

Season Record: 4-8

After a pretty awful start I’m not sure why you’d still be reading this, but here’s this week’s picks for those of you who like to subsidize bookies!Icon_Football

Bears even at Redskins – Chicago’s defense owns this game.

Browns +10 at Packers – That’s a lot of points for a decent team to lose by. Packers are going to win of course, but I don’t think they’ll crush the Browns.

Broncos -6.5 at Colts – Payton burned me last week only putting up 35 points on the Jaguars, but he’s definitely got a seven-point win in him against a lackluster Colts.

Auburn +14 at Texas A&M – An underrated team against an overrated team and a big point spread. Johnny Football’s going to come out with a W but I see Auburn keeping it close through the first half then scoring a junk time TD in the fourth quarter to cover.

East Carolina -22.5 v. Southern Miss – The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss are a god-awful 0-5 this season, with some of those losses including the Texas State Bobcats and the Florida International Golden Panthers. This is a homecoming game-level matchup with a nice inter-conference rivalry flavor to push East Carolina to score as many points as they possibly can.

Tennessee +7.5 v. South Carolina – It’s no fluke that Tennessee kept it so close against Georgia. The Vols aren’t necessarily a good team, but they’re certainly underrated and at home against a South Carolina team soundly beat by the Dawgs.
