Award-winning eats: tamales on the Taqueria del Sol menu
Taqueria del Sol Executive Chef Eddie Hernandez’s award-winning tamales are this week’s special.
Starting today, the tamales will be on the dinner menu.
Hernandez recently won the top celebrity chef award at the Delta Hot Tamale Festival in Greenville, Miss. Tamales aren’t normally on del Sol’s menu, but after receiving the award, Hernandez decided to add it.
Here’s the menu description: “Eddie’s award-winning tamales, one traditional pork and one fresh corn, cheese and green chile are served on a Hatch green chile sauce with green rice.”
