Jae Schmidt and the folks at Houndstooth Road are hosting another Tweed and Vintage ride on Saturday, Nov. 16.

I did this last year, and it’s a fun event that takes advantage of Decatur’s selling points: bike-friendly streets, cool local businesses and a city full of people who enjoy dressing up for no particular reason.

The Tweed ride is also a convenient excuse to learn how to tie a bow-tie. I haven’t had a reason to do this since last year’s Tweed ride, so it’ll be a convenient excuse to relearn how to tie one.
