Another resident wrote, “As City of Decatur residents continue to debate next year’s K-3 rezoning, the families of the Lenox Place neighborhood want CSD to know that ‘Lenox Place Walks.’ Lenox Placers are advocating to remain zoned for Oakhurst Elementary because of the school’s close proximity to their neighborhood. The alternative proposed school for the neighborhood, Westchester Elementary, is almost two miles away for some residents. Lenox Place residents are urging school officials to leave the neighborhood at its neighborhood school – Oakhurst.”
