Kirkwood bike trail shooting suspects identified, sought
Atlanta Police say they know the identities of the men being sought in connection with a Dec. 26 shooting on a bike trail in Kirkwood. Police spokesman Greg Lyon said that arrests may occur soon.
“The investigation is progressing very well and the Homicide Unit is following up on significant leads,” he said via email. “The Homicide Unit has identified individuals involved with the crime and they are being sought as I type this. We do believe robbery is a motive and the Homicide Unit is committed to apprehending and prosecuting all parties involved in this crime. The Atlanta Police Department’s Fugitive Task Force, along with the US Marshall and FBI Robbery/Homicide Task force, are working together to try and locate those individuals that have been identified.”
He also said the CrimeStoppers reward for information leading tin this case has been increased to $5,000
