The city of Avondale Estates is once again a finalist in the Atlanta’s Healthiest Employers contest sponsored by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Avondale Estates ranked fourth last year in the small company category, a tie with Northwestern Benefit Corporation of Georgia. City spokeswoman Kelly Brooks said the city is in the top 10 again, but won’t know its ranking until Feb. 14.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the contest measures companies across six categories: Culture and leadership commitment, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analysis.

“Atlanta Business Chronicle partnered with Healthiest Employers LLC, a data aggregation and analytics organization developed to help improve wellness programming outcomes,” the Business Chronicle said, writing about the 2013 competition.  “Atlanta companies were invited to take a survey that measured their workplace wellness efforts.”
