Avondale Estates City Commissioner John Quinn serves up a tasty beverage at the Taste of Avondale event, held Feb. 15.

Public servants in Avondale Estates do more than approve budgets and pave roads. They’ll fetch their constituents a beer, too.

People who attended the Taste of Avondale on Saturday got some stellar service.

City Commissioner John Quinn was one of the servers, pouring out local craft brews for the guests.

“We agreed to pour for them,” Quinn said, standing behind a row of glass growlers.

He served up beer brewed by Three Taverns and Wild Heaven, both local companies.

Quinn said of the local brewers, “They’re a wonderful member of our business community.”
