Atlanta Police and Decatur Police say two Feb. 14 burglaries may be connected to a string of burglaries in both cities.
Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross said on Feb. 14, Atlanta Police received a report of a burglary on Tupelo Street that occurred between 9 am and 4 pm. Atlanta Police also received a report of a burglary in the 2700 block of Hosea L. Williams Boulevard that occurred, between 8:30 am and 5 pm.
“A neighbor of the victim of the burglary in the 2700 block of Hosea L. Williams Boulevard later reported seeing a white SUV near the victim’s residence between 4:30 – 5 pm,” Ross said. “A community member has since reported seeing a white Chevrolet Tahoe displaying GA tag PDI4825 in the 3rd Avenue area. This is one digit off from what was previously provided and appears to be the correct tag number. Please continue to look out for this vehicle and call police immediately if you see it in the area.”
The burglaries happened a day after both agencies issued an alert about six similar crimes in the area. To learn more about those other incidents, click here.
