Here’s what’s going on around town on Saturday and Sunday:

The Little Wine shop in Avondale Estates will hold a tasting on Saturday, March 1, from noon to 5 pm. The business is located at 100 North Avondale Road.

The announcement says, “Stop by and try a Malbec that’s new to the Little Wine Shop family. Enjoy a taste of Filus, an Argentinian wine that is supple, ripe and sweet, and finishes with good breadth and subtle notes of licorice and mint. It has a nose of black fruits and licorice that is lifted by violet.”

There will be a yard sale at the home of Tom and Carol Brooks, located at 115 Berkeley Road, this Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. The announcement says they’ll have, “Garage items, furniture, all categories of stuff!” So if you like stuff, see Tom and Carol for their “Downsizing Sale.”

The City Gate Dance Theater will be holding auditions for its Summer Intensive. Auditions begin Sunday, March 2, at 3 pm at 2864 Franklin Street.

“City Gate Dance Theater is a new contemporary ballet company and classical school for ballet, and we’re holding auditions for our Summer Intensive program,” the announcement says. “Our goal is to nurture and develop young dancers interested in professionalism through rigorous classical training and cross training. We are also looking to launch a six-week session for our Children’s Division in April, no auditions required.”
