Avondale Estates Police sent out an alert the evening of March 16, warning about a burglary attempt on Saturday, March 15.

The crime happened at the 3200 Block of Majestic Circle at 11:25 pm.

“The complainant stated an unknown subject was ringing the door bell and beating on the door,” the alert said. “Further investigation led to the discovery of a broken window in the rear door, but entry was unsuccessful.”

Police searched the area but didn’t turn up any suspects. Police encourage residents to keep their cars and homes locked and secured.
