The Decatur Police Department is holding a class about illegal drugs.

The class will teach parents all the relevant street lingo to help them to identify what drugs their teenagers may or may not be taking.

“The presentation will include information on current trends, street names, paraphernalia and what parents can look for, as well as an overview of what officers are seeing in Decatur,” Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross said. “The presentation is FREE and designed for parents, caregivers and anyone who works with kids and teens who want to become more aware.”

Yeah, the first time is always free.

The class will be held March 12, 2014, at the Decatur Recreation Center. The class begins at 6:30 pm and lasts until 8 pm.

You must be 18-years-old to attend. To reserve a seat call Sgt. Ross at [email protected] or 678-553-6613.

She’ll hook you up. With knowledge.
