Atlanta will be getting a Major League Soccer team.

Terminus Legion, an Atlanta club supporting soccer and championing the addition of an MLS team here, confirmed via email that Falcons owner Arthur Blank intended to announce the club today, April 16.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Blank made the announcement “amidst a parade-like atmosphere” in downtown Atlanta.

According to the AJC, the unnamed team would start playing in 2017. To read the full story from the AJC, click here.
