Decatur Police report that a woman on Lockwood Terrace walked in on a burglary Sunday afternoon and the suspect stole her car.

According to Sgt. Jennifer Ross, at 12:48 pm., police responded to the call at the 300 block of Lockwood Terrace. The victim told police that she was upstairs and heard the doorbell ringing. She ignored it. The ringing stopped. A few moments later, she heard a loud crash downstairs. When she went downstairs to see what was going on, she saw a young man in her living room and a pane broken out of the window leading from the rear porch into the house. The window had been unlocked and opened.

The woman told the young man she was calling the police.

“Tell ’em to come get me,” the suspect said, according to police.

The man then grabbed car keys from a bowl and crawled outside through the window. The woman opened the door to the garage and saw another young man outside. He was looking into the garage door windows. She saw the man who was in her house join the other man who was looking into the garage. The woman ran upstairs to call police. She saw the two suspects leave in her vehicle, headed south on Lockwood Terrace.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 14 to 15 years old, approximately 5’8 with a slim build and a unique hairstyle: shaved on the sides and a mushroom shaped Afro on top. He was clean cut, wearing a faded blue v-neck shirt with green and blue trim around the neck, with a white t-shirt underneath and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as, “a young black male, approximately 5’8.”

The stolen car is a gray 2011 four door Saab 93 displaying Georgia tag number: #BEK6937.
