A former Decatur High football coach has a new job with the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Ramblinwreck.com reports that Brad Waggoner has been hired as the assistant director of player personnel.

Waggoner coached at Decatur high for one season, compiling a 5-5 record in 2012. He left that job to take over as head coach and athletic director for Lumpkin County High. The former Decatur High coach played football for Georgia Tech as a linebacker in 1994, before transferring to Liberty University.

After his college playing days, he began his coaching career at the college level with assistant coaching jobs at VMI and the University at Alabama.
