Two men wanted for armed robbery in DeKalb County were arrested this morning thanks to an assist from Decatur Police officers.

According to Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross, at 10 am on Tuesday, police officers responded to the 700 block of South Columbia Drive to help DeKalb County Police officers. The DeKalb officers were looking for a vehicle and two suspects involved in an armed robbery in DeKalb County. Officers found the suspects and the vehicle around Oldfield Road. Both suspects ran from the officers.

Ross said a Decatur officer captured one of the suspects in the woods between the 700 block of South Columbia Drive and Oldfield Road. He also recovered a handgun. DeKalb and Decatur officers chased and caught the other suspect in the 2600 block of Midway Road.
