Actor and comedian Robin Williams dies
Multiple news outlets are reporting that actor and comedian Robin Williams has committed suicide at the age of 63.
Entertainment Weekly quoted Williams’ publicist as saying the actor had been battling severe depression recently. Throughout his storied career – which included lead roles in countless beloved films, from “Mrs. Doubtfire” to Disney’s “Aladdin” – Williams struggled with substance abuse.
Williams shot a movie in Atlanta last year called “A Friggin’ Christmas Miracle,” according to Access Atlanta. He dropped in unannounced at the Laughing Skull Lounge in Midtown, according to Creative Loafing. The movie, which is currently in post production according to Internet Movie Database, will be one of Williams’ last.
