Avondale Estates Police say they’ve caught a burglary suspect in the act.

The arrest happened on Saturday, Aug. 16, around 10:15 pm. Police officers responded to a “burglary in progress” at a home near the 100 block of Exeter Road, according to an alert from the police department.

“A neighbor observed an adult male in the vacant residence and called police,” the report said. “Officers made entry into the home and located the suspect inside. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and lodged into the DeKalb Co. Jail.”
