Police seek arsonist who rearranges furniture

His name is Calvin Simms and he’s wanted on charges of criminal trespass. The charges stem from damage to property on the 800 block of 3rd Avenue that the night of July 20. Simms is described as 46 years old, 6’2, 225 pounds with brown eyes and bald. He was last seen on July 23 in the area of Oakview Road and First Avenue wearing a Leopard Print Sweater.

Ross said Simms was previously arrested in 2006 and on charges related to burglary and arson cases in that area. Ross said if you see Simms don’t confront him. Call police immediately. Remember to provide the location, direction of travel and a detailed description of his clothing.

Additionally, if you experience any incidents at your home that include odd damage such as writing in marker on your home, outdoor furniture being rearranged, slashed tires, cut cables or if you find evidence of burnt paper, call police immediately. Same goes for seeing or hearing someone on your property, Ross said.
