Archibong calls for more scrutiny after audit

Kirkwood’s representative on the Atlanta City Council wants the city’s auditor to keep a closer eye on the Department of Watershed Management following a report that thieves had stolen thousands of dollars worth of water meters.

Councilwoman Natalyn Archibong, who chairs the utilities committee, told WABE that the auditor’s report shows mismanagement at the department was “at a grander level than I could have ever imagined.” She is asking for an estimate for the auditor’s office to continuously monitor the watershed department, according to WABE.
