Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross says as of today the administrative offices of the Decatur Police Department have moved back to 420 West Trinity Place and are now part of the city’s Beacon Municipal Center.

Decatur Municipal Court is still located at 120 West Trinity Place, Ross said. The Police Department moved to temporary offices on East Ponce de Leon Avenue in February of last year to make way for the renovations. Those temporary offices are now closed. In addition to sharing the space with the municipal court, Decatur Police are also neighbors with the City Schools of Decatur’s central office.

The city of Decatur so far has spent about $33 million on the project that would provide a shared administrative space for various civic offices, including the Active Living Department.

“If you have any trouble locating the office you need, please call the non-emergency number 404/373-6551,” Ross said.
