City Schools of Decatur has announced that two input meetings on master plans for renovating Renfroe Middle and Decatur High have been postponed.

The meetings were scheduled for Sept. 24 and Sept. 25.

“The Renfroe Middle School design firm and Decatur High School design-build team have requested additional time to refine and further develop their architectural plans prior to bringing them to the CSD Board of Education and community for their review and comments,” the notice from CSD says. “City Schools of Decatur will communicate the new dates and times of the community meetings as soon as they are scheduled.”

CSD borrowed $18 million in certificates of participation money, referred to as COPS, to pay for the projects at Decatur High and Renfroe Middle. The School Board recently awarded more than $1 million in contracts for these projects.
