The following are summaries of Zone 6 police reports filed between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11.  The Atlanta Police Department provided the reports they are presumed to be accurate. 

East Atlanta

A man robbed in East Atlanta on Oct. 8 told police has a theory about who the suspect might be.

The robbery occurred in the 500 block of Stokeswood Avenue. According to the report, “The suspect approached the victim and asked if he wanted to buy drugs. When he said no, the suspect pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at him demanded everything. The victim believes it may be the same suspect from a previous robbery where he was victim.”

Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned black male, 5’09, 125 lbs, wearing all dark clothes with a hoodie and hat.

East Lake 

Police arrested Wayne Allen Mills on Oct. 7 and charged him with loitering, criminal trespass and theft by taking. A resident of Glenwood Avenue Southeast told police he saw Mills walking down the street with his ladder.

Edgewood

Police arrested Jherika Harrell on Oct. 8 and charged her with aggravated assault for allegedly pistol whipping a man while fighting over a laptop and television. The incident occurred on Hutchinson Street North East. When police arrived the victim was cut on “the right side top of his head. The laceration was bleeding and he had blood down the side of his face.” Harrell had a knot on the left side of her head, a cut under her left eye and a cut on her forehead. Officers concluded she got those injuries because the victim was acting in self-defense.

Kirkwood

On Oct. 8, officers received a report of a stolen vehicle from Mellrich Avenue Northeast. The victim told officers he’d left his gold Honda Accord unlocked with his keys in the ignition.

Police on Oct. 8 responded to a call on Anniston Avenue Southeast concerning a domestic incident. According to the report, “Victims both advised they got into a fight with the suspect-roommate that lives in the same boarding house. The suspect was drunk and went to the mailbox, then pulls out a knife and tells the victims that he will stab both of them. Victim No. 2 was threatened, but Victim No. 1 had to grab a table and put it in front of him to prevent the suspect from getting too close and cutting him.”
