The Georgia Department of Transportation plans overnight lane closures this week on I-285 in Cobb County and Georgia 400 in north Fulton.

The I-285 lane closures are part of a project to rebuild the interchange with Atlanta Road. Two northbound and two southbound I-285 lanes between Atlanta and Paces Ferry roads each overnight, Monday through Thursday, from 9 pm until 5 am each evening, GDOT says.

The Georgia 400 road closures are due to the rebuilding of the interchange at Northridge Road. Contractors will close two of four northbound Georgia 400 lanes each night this week, 10 pm to 5 am Monday through Friday and then also throughout the weekend. The closures will occur two miles north of the North Springs MARTA station.

“Motorists are requested to slow down approaching and in this work area and be particularly cautious; workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway,” the announcement from GDOT says.
