President Barack Obama visited the Centers for Disease Control last month to talk about the rapid spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa, and unknowingly shared an elevator with an armed convicted felon.

The Washington Post reports that Secret Service agents became concerned when the man in the elevator didn’t obey their orders to stop recording the president using his cell phone camera. When the president left the elevator, the agents stayed behind to question the man. They learned he was a convicted felon. They were also surprised to learn he had been armed while standing inches away from the president.
