The city of Atlanta will be a little late picking up trash and recycling this week.

According to City Councilperson Natalyn Archibong’s office, an unspecified “safety and training” exercise is behind the expected delay.

“Pick-up of household garbage, yard trimmings and recycling may experience slight delays this week due to a training and safety exercise.  Please leave containers at the curb by 7 am on your regularly scheduled pick up day,” the message from Archibong’s office says. “If we do not pick up your waste items on the regularly scheduled day, please expect pick-up by the next business day.”
