The Decatur Fire Department is still investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home at 123 W. Benson Street over the weekend.

Fire Chief Toni Washington said, “At 12:09 am on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, Decatur Fire received a structure fire notification at 123 W. Benson. Upon arrival there were visible flames from two sides and the roof of the home. Fire was extinguished, no injuries to report and Red Cross was requested.”
