Bye bye, Big Lots. So long, Hancock Fabrics.

As Selig Enterprises begins construction of a Wal-Mart at the site, older tenants are pulling out, according to Tomorrow’s News Today.

Tomorrow’s News says Big Lots will be closing its doors, despite Selig telling the store’s owners they would be welcome at the shopping center.

“According to a store employee, there are currently no plans to reopen the store elsewhere in the future,” Tomorrow’s News says. Hancock Fabrics will close in January and reopen later that month in Tucker.

Selig plans to have the project completed by this summer and ready for a fall 2015 opening. The Suburban Plaza shopping center is currently in the Decatur Annexation Master Plan.
