Students at Toomer Elementary in Kirkwood got a chance to meet Gov. Nathan Deal on Monday.

The students visited the gold dome on Feb. 23 for the Sixth Annual Capitol Day.

According to Doug Wood, “3rd grade students toured the Capitol, learning about the executive and legislative branches of State Government. The students met and had discussions with Gov. Deal, Rep. Stacey Abrams, and Sen. Elena Parent.”
