Highland Bakery planning expansion in Decatur

Plans published by Redstone Investments show that Atlanta’s Highland Bakery plans to open a location in Decatur beneath condos at 315 West Ponce.
Other businesses, including Orangetheory Fitness and Taziki’s restaurant, are also planning to move into the location.
Bruce Tamarkin, property manager for Redstone, said the timeline for opening this businesses is still open-ended.
“I wish we knew,” he said. “We are waiting for each tenant to submit architectural plans, and after we get those, I think they’re all hoping to get open as soon as possible. Obviously there’s a lot of work to do. We won’t really know until we get plans ready to submit for permits.”
It would be Higland Bakery’s sixth Atlanta location. Recently, the company added a location on the Emory campus.
