Taking flight: DesignOrama to return

DesignOrama 2014 at Drew Charter School
Drew Charter School’s DesignOrama makers fair will fly high this year.
The festival next Saturday celebrates all things people make themselves, but it will revolve around the theme of flight. The school says it will have “real life examples of aerospace engineering,” such as helicopters, parachutes, skydivers, drones, and hang-gliders.
Drew students will also be launching specially-designed paper airplanes with plastic eggs inside of them.
Participants can design their own Frisbee to play on the homemade disc golf course. Or they can take part in the flying egg challenge.
Engineering Design Instructor Courtney Bryant said the event is free and all are welcome to attend.
DesignOrama is next Saturday, March 21 from 3-6 p.m. at 301 East Lake Blvd. SE, Atlanta.
