TV pilot, movie filming in Decatur this month

There are two film productions that will be in Decatur this week, according to notices sent to residents.
A TV pilot for a show called “Cordon” is filming today, March 23, until 10 pm according to a notice from the producers. Filming will take place at the Avondale Estates MARTA station and on Sycamore Street.
A portion of Sycamore Street, between Sycamore Place and Mountain View Street, will close during the shoot. The street will be open to residents.
According to Variety.com, Cordon, “revolves around an epidemic that breaks out in Atlanta.”
Crews will also be shooting for an upcoming movie titled “Rings” this week and next week. According to the Oakhurst Neighborhood association, “Paramount World Productions, INC will be filming scenes for the movie Rings at 222 Fayetteville Rd. on Tuesday, March 24th thru Thursday, March 26th. The shooting schedule will include night filming on Tuesday and Wednesday. Off-duty police officers will be utilized during shooting to ensure successful flow of traffic through the area.”
There will also be filming on Monday, March 30, and Tuesday, March 31, according to a notice distributed to residents. That filming will take place from 7 am to 8:30 pm at the Decatur Cemetery.
According to Internet Movie Database, “Rings” is the latest installment of “The Ring” horror movie franchise.
